Youngest Gallery explores the cultural potential of institutional inclusion of works by very young artists into the frameworks of established art. Youngest Gallery is a project aimed at promoting artists aged from 2 to 12. The unique aesthetics and originality of the art by the youngest artists, together with the very short creative career span, make their artworks incredibly valuable collectibles.
The gallery was founded in 2021 by Elena Strygina, a curator and art manager with 10-year international experience. It started as a research project in 2015, aiming to discover artworks created by kids all over the world, as well as the most inspiring art educational practices. The Youngest collection was founded in 2017 and consists of dozens of works purchased or given as donations.
